Dining with the Ducks
A project built for a show "Alder Ego" featuring seating made of Alder. The chair is built entirely inspired by west coast ducks. Ergonomics was a big part of the design as I believe a good chair can be sat in comfortably for many hours. The upholstery is dupioni silk and easily replaced when the time comes for a change. This was a great build allowing my creativity to be free.
Two benches part of a larger project, one 14 feet long and one 6 feet long. The Alder and Walnut truly shine in these pieces. With through tenons featured on the tops of the benches and a classic tusk tenon Holding the spreaders in place. These benches only use hand made wood joinery.
